The legend of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table has endured since long before the Middle Ages. It may be a myth but the principles which formed the foundation of his idea exist to this day. Chivalry, honour, duty, comradeship, protection of all the people within his realm and helping underprivileged people are traits which have stood the test of centuries, with many people from all different nations & religions in the World still practicing similar ideals today.

In the spirit of King Arthur, The Knights of Witheridge have adapted some of his ideas to include offering financial support to the many worthwhile clubs, organisations and institutions in our Parish who do such a superb job in making our community a worthwhile place to live.

King Arthur was only successful because he had a few good Knights to assist him, but far more importantly his people believed in what he was trying to achieve, for without their support his cause was doomed! Likewise, without the support of Witheridge folk attending our events & giving generously, the Knights of Witheridge would not be able to continue with their commitment to our village.
